What a chase - that finally culminated in these overhead shots from Wilhelm Road as the train rolled off the connector track onto the shared CN main. I tried to get to Brookfield ahead of the train for what would have been pics with a much better sun angle, but missed it by moments. If you look really close, in the far distance - through the still lingering haze from the Quebec forest fires - on either side of the signal stand - you can see the two towers of the extant CN train bridge over the old Welland Canal. |
